• 2 Cups Bisquick.
• 2/3 Cup milk.
• 1 Cup Cheddar Cheese.
• 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder.
• 1/4 Tsp Cayenne Pepper.
• 1/4 Tsp Old Bay Seasoning.
• 1/4 Cup Butter.
Glaze:
• 1/3 Cup Butter.
• 1 Tbsp Dried Parsley.
• 1 Tsp Old Bay Seasoning.
• 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder.
JP’s Red Lobster box recipe.
• 3/4 Cup Cold Water.
• 1/2 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese.
• 1 Package Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix.
• 1/3 Cup Butter.
• 1 Pouch Garlic Herb Blend.
Directions:
Julia attempted to make this without the Red Lobster box and it came out OK. Here are the very simple instructions..
1.) Gently fold together all of the listed ingredients. Don’t over stir..
2.) Measure 1/4 cup per biscuit and form into a round biscuit. Place on your baking sheet and brush with melted butter..
3.) Bake in a 475°F oven for 12 minutes or until golden brown..
4.) Brush a bit more melted herb butter on top and serve.
JP went with the Red Lobster box to see if it tasted like the original Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuits that you get at the restaurant..
1.) Stir together water, cheese, and biscuit mix until dough forms (do not overmix).
2.) Scoop dough immediately into 8-10 portions (about 1/4 cup each) and place 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheet..
3.) Bake 14-16 minutes or until golden brown on top. Melt butter in microwave safe bowl, add garlic herb blend and stir until well blended..
4.) Spoon or Brush 1 teaspoon garlic herb butter sauce on to each hot biscuit. Serve immediately..
Verdict: Homemade or Boxed?
The spices from the homemade version were more exciting and more enjoyable, although, the Red Lobster box did get the look of the real Red Lobster cheddar Bay biscuits..
For a healthier, less desirable method, don’t eat this at all..
